We have been established since 1998, when the founding partners, Steven Bell and Simon Hill-Anderson identified a need for a true garage door & gate specialist on the island, a proper alternative to the other companies around.  Starting from premises in Demesne Road, our reputation soon grew, and we moved to the historic "Nook" building on the Quarterbridge roundabout.  Stuart Graham joined us as director, bringing a wealth of experience of the industry with him. After many happy years at the Nook, again, we outgrew the building, and in 2005 moved to a new unit on the Isle of Man Business Park, right next door to Haldane Fisher & the 4 Wheel Drive centre.  Steven Bell, a well known industry figure in the UK, left to concentrate on his existing work representing one of the leading garage door manufacturers.   Gail Crookes joined Simon & Stuart in the partnership, having spent many years working for manufacturers of garage doors & automation equipment in the UK.

We deal in products from all the major manufacturers, and stock a large range of standard garage doors and operating gear as well as supplying tailor made products. We provide a full range of automatic & manual gates, security window shutters, automatic sliding glass doors, industrial doors and operating gear, intercom & access control systems.

We have eliminated one of the major problems that can arise due to operating in an island location - damage to stock whilst in transit. By investing in our own vehicle, and using our own workforce to collect products from the UK, we can provide our customers guaranteed delivery and fitting times. This way we ensure our products, materials and equipment reach our customers in first class condition. It is also important because with the bespoke doors in particular, delivery times can be extended, and were a door delivered damaged, then the delay caused in reordering would be significant.

We are a member of the Association of Garage Door Specialists - a body setup in the UK to monitor and uphold standards within the Garage Door Industry. We have a workforce with a combined experience of over 45 years in the industry and pride ourselves on the quality of our customer service. We have a "Can Do" ethos and when we say we'll be there, we'll be there. When a customer contacts us we provide a free no obligation survey, advise on the product best suited for their requirements and to the site, then submit a fully inclusive fix priced quotation. Once the work is completed, we'll take the old door away.

As well as a wealth of satisfied homeowners on the island, we have many major corporate clients. We are also a registered contractor for the Isle of Man government, and do works for many of the government departments. One of our largest contracts was the supply and installation for Heritage Homes of over 100 hardwood electronically operated sectional garage doors for the prestigious Majestic apartment complex in Onchan. That contract represented the largest single order in Europe for timber sectional doors. We are also responsible for the automatic glass sliding doors at the Sea Terminal building, and at Ronaldsway Airport.  These are just a few of our clients:
